Pedram Sharifi to replace Amir Jadidi in Takhti project

Young Iranian actor Pedram Sharifi is slated to appear in Iranian movie ‘Takhti, The World Champion’.

Sharifi will star as Gholamreza Takhti, to replace Amir Jadidi who has left the project.

Iranian actress Mahour Alvand will also star as Takhti’s wife.

Atila Pesyani, Banipal Shoomoon and Mojtaba Pirzadeh are other names that are to appear before the camera in ‘Takhti, The World Champion’.

Gholamreza Takhti was born in Tehran on August 27, 1930. At the age of 15, he enrolled in Poulad club in southern Tehran and was trained to become a wrestler.

Takhti won his first Iranian championship in 1950 and later in 1951 he won a silver medal at the world freestyle championship in Helsinki. That was the first international medal ever gained by an Iranian wrestler.

He won several other medals but that is not the only reason why he is so famous and popular. He proved to be a real hero by showing such exemplary character as to being of any sort of help to the poor and needy.
